For the past three years Villa Kula has been a major sponsor of the Rob Broadfield Weekend for Telethon at the spectacular Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa, in Broome Western Australia.

Each year invited special guests are given the opportunity to enjoy a weekend of extraordinary culinary fare, live local and national entertainment as well as superlative themed event experiences both within the resort and at iconic Broome locations.

This year, the weekend raised over $700,000 for the Telethon Children’s Charity.

“Dear Karl, Vanessa and the Villa Kula Team,

On behalf of Hawaiian and Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to you all for supporting this year’s A Weekend for Telethon.

Without your enthusiasm, passion and unwavering support to create an amazing visual experience for our guests over the weekend, we would not be able to achieve the impact that we did.

In particular, I would like to make reference to the Saturday night, ‘Suzie Wong’ event in the Sam Male room. A number of comments from guests who regularly hold conferences at the Resort reflected the extreme transformation of the room and the endless possibilities for future conference events have now been made evident.

I must also sincerely thank all of the members of your hard-working team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make each event a memorable one and set up the new furniture at the Ocean Pool in time for this year’s guests.

We are honoured to continue our involvement supporting Telethon and I am thrilled to report that the final total raised is an astonishing $700,000.

There are many aspects of the weekend that make it very special and unique and without the support of people like you, your team and the immense generosity of our guests, it would not be possible to raise the much-needed funds for the children and families supported by Telethon.

Thank you once again and I wish you all the best for a successful year ahead.

Kind regards,

Russell Gibbs
