This amazing couple. You just took our breath away and here’s why.
Andrew and Rebecca were engaged in Tanzania 2016 after conquering Mt Kilimanjaro.
Bec’s used to nerves, but was a little more nervous than usual on this particular Saturday.
The Sunrise and Channel 7 WA news reporter was marrying her best friend, engineer Andrew Nicholls, in front of just over one hundred of their closest friends and family at Holy Rosary Church in Nedlands.
Dressed in a stunning custom made Pallas Couture gown complete with floor length French lace & tulle veil, Bec was absolutely ethereal.
Guests watched on as she so gracefully walked down the aisle to her grandmother’s 1950’s ABC recording of ‘Ava Maria.
Post an emotional ceremony guests were transported from the charming church by vintage buses, to the reception which was held in a grand marquee along the Swan River at Nedlands Yacht Club.
The reception theme was based around organic stones and agate.
Guests sipped on cocktails in crystal stemware in the bespoke Champagne lounge bar, grazed on the tiered cheese table and enjoyed canapés before being escorted to the sit down dinner.
Some of Australia’s music royalty then danced the night away alongside distinguished guests as well as Olympians, journalists, PR people and AFL players.
Rebecca’s aunty, lead singer of The Baby Animals Suze DeMarchi, flew in for the occasion. Rebecca also had Andrew’s sister; Olympian Alana Nicholls, as one of her five bridesmaids.
They danced the night away while dining on a SUKAR marble etched wedding cake and an assortment of Krispy Kreme donuts (bride and groom’s fav!)
This was a truly beautiful celebration that the VK team were so incredibly blessed to be a part of.
