Family Pool & Alfresco Restaurant Refit, Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa
The Kichi Kichi Restaurant and family pool brief was to create a more vibrant and contemporary family friendly poolside for this iconic West Australian resort.
Keeping in mind Kichi Kichi is a family space our aim was to create an animated, fun atmosphere conducive to family pool time and dining, whilst at the same time adhering to its existing Asian aesthetic.

Beginning with the interior of the restaurant and bar we started by removing all existing furniture and replacing with some custom designed dining chairs paired with composite concrete dining tables in varying sizes. Decorative burgundy & red striped throw cushions with navy block cushions to contrast feature on the chairs for additional effect and comfort.
For the deck space we created a playful chill out zone featuring designer day beds & love seats, cosy arm chairs & coffee tables – an ideal setting for families & friends to mingle, dine & relax. We introduced the outdoor Sunbrella fabric cushions in rich plum, grape and navy for pops of dramatic colour.
We transformed the shade structure into an inviting lounge bar space using the rope weaving Layla Lounge (as featured at the Ocean Pool) with Galley Bay Wing Chairs & coffee tables to accompany the setting.
As the lounge furniture is modular it can be re-configured many ways, or carried out to feature around the poolside allowing this space to be used as a bar & food service area which is ideal for hospitality spaces that require a multi-functional use for hosting special events.
The poolside dining & day bed space featured a combination of UV stabilised outdoor dining tables & chairs with, high bars/ bar stool mix. Cool designer pieces with an Asian influence in the Resorts signature colour palette of sunburnt orange, slate grey & plum. The navy was a bold choice of clashing colour that we loved.
Fortunato Round Day Beds with small side tables combined with Miami Sun Lounges in double and single styles (also with small powder coated side tables) completed this fun and lively family pool side setting.
