Costa Rica Mountain Escape 💚

Casa Montaña Mística was a truly special project.

The architecture was sublime: the considered scale, rich timber, soaring ceilings and the way the home opens onto extraordinary mountain views. Every detail meticulously considered by the owner to create the most breathtakingly beautiful home.

Our role was to create the furniture and interior layers that would honour this beautiful architecture while, most importantly, making the house feel like a home.

Every piece was carefully considered and custom-made for the space, from the generous proportions and tactile natural finishes to the deep comfort and quiet details designed to complement the architecture rather than compete with it.

Seeing everything come together in Costa Rica has been extraordinary.

And the best part? Casa Montaña Mística is now available as a luxury Airbnb.

Our latest project — Casa Montaña Mística, Costa Rica. 🌿

What a ridiculously beautiful project this has been.

This one began with an intense 10-day overseas sourcing trip, working alongside incredibly talented makers to custom create almost every single piece for the home.

Oversized daybeds. Huge modular lounges. Entire bedroom suites. Bespoke designer furniture made specifically to size, with beautiful proportions, exquisite detailing and finishes chosen for each individual space.

And we didn’t stop at the furniture — we sourced the bed linen, décor, lighting and all those finishing layers that ultimately make a house feel complete.

It was a huge 10 days. Fast-paced, ambitious and incredibly rewarding.

Projects like this take a very special client — someone with the vision and trust to let us push the boundaries and create something truly unique.

And now, seeing everything finally in situ, in this extraordinary home in the mountains of Costa Rica, makes every mad moment completely worth it.

Leaning into the heritage of the home, our client wanted an ensuite that felt timeless rather than trend-driven.

Light, bright and beautifully pared back, the palette was kept predominantly white for a fresh, calm feel — with easy-clean, easy-care finishes and just enough warmth in the brass details to keep the space feeling considered.

An unfinished space that felt void of layers and warmth has been totally transformed with new paint, carpet, lighting and furniture.
